Your takes never leave your device.
Eyeline Studio is a teleprompter, and Eyeline Float puts your script or live interview answers under your webcam. Both are built so the parts that matter most, your script and your videos, stay with you. This page lists everything we do keep, why, and who else is involved.
Who is responsible
Eyeline Studio and Eyeline Float are run by Alastella Technologies Limited, trading as Alastella. The company decides how the information on this page is used and is responsible for it. Privacy questions: hello@alastella.com.
What never reaches us
- Your videos. Takes are recorded by your browser or phone and saved on that device only. They are never uploaded.
- Your scripts. Scripts are stored in your browser, in the Android app on your phone, or in Eyeline Float on your computer. We never receive them.
- Your camera. It is used only on your device, while you use it. Background blur also runs on your device.
- Your microphone in Eyeline Studio. Sound for your takes is recorded on your device only. (The Interview co-pilot in Eyeline Float is different: see below.)
- Your card details. Payments are taken by Paystack (website) or Google Play (Android). We never see card numbers.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email address, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password, so you can log in.
- Sign-in sessions: a random code per signed-in browser or phone (we store only a hash of it), when it was created, the device type and IP address, so you stay signed in and we can stop abuse.
- Your plan: whether you pay through Paystack or Google Play, the plan status and paid-up date, and payment references and amounts. Paystack customer and subscription codes, or the Google Play purchase token, are kept so renewals and cancellations work.
- Usage counts: the time each take or floating window starts, with no content, so we can run the paid plan and see how Eyeline Studio is used.
- Security records: short-lived counters of attempts per IP address, to slow down password guessing.
The Interview co-pilot in Eyeline Float
The Interview co-pilot is part of Eyeline Everything and only runs when you turn it on. To answer the questions you are asked, it has to send some things off your computer:
- Interview audio is streamed from Eyeline Float straight to Deepgram, which turns the interviewer's questions into text.
- The question and the answer context: the transcribed question, a short window of the recent conversation, and the resume, job description and notes you added to Float, pass through our server to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the talking points you see.
- A usage counter per account, so a stuck app can't send unlimited requests.
We don't store the audio, the questions, the answers or your resume on our servers. Deepgram and Anthropic process them to give you the answer, under their own terms. If you don't turn the co-pilot on, none of this is sent.
The emails we send
- Payments and account: a welcome email, receipts, and notices when a payment fails or a plan is cancelled. These always go out, because they're about your account and money.
- Reminders: before a card plan renews, before a cancelled plan ends, and when it has ended. On by default; turn them off any time.
- Tips and offers: only if you tick the box when signing up or switch them on later. We record when you agreed.
Every reminder and offer email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can change all of this at eyeline.alastella.com/account/email. We keep a record of which emails were sent, so nobody gets the same notice twice.
Who else is involved
- Vercel hosts the website and Neon hosts the database that holds the records above.
- Paystack takes website payments; Google Play takes Android payments. Each has its own privacy policy for the payment details you give them.
- Resend sends our emails to your address: account, payment, reminder, password-reset and (if you opted in) offer emails.
- Deepgram and Anthropic power the Interview co-pilot in Eyeline Float, as described above.
- On Android, Google Play may also collect data under Google's own policy when you install the app or subscribe.
We don't sell your data, use advertising trackers, or share your details with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Your account and plan records stay until you delete your account. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days on the web and 90 days on the app. Reset links expire after 30 minutes. Attempt counters reset within an hour.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, from the Android app (Account → Delete account) or at eyeline.alastella.com/delete-account. Deleting stops any paid plan from renewing and permanently removes your account, sessions, plan and payment records and usage counts. Takes and scripts on your devices are yours: delete them there.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Most of it is visible in your account, and deletion is self-service. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or anything else about your privacy, email hello@alastella.com from the address on your account, with “Privacy request” in the subject.
Children
Eyeline Studio is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly create accounts for them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
